![]() It could possibly be taken for The Reach but as that area is landlocked, it seems to rule Skyrim out. Those suffering from Skyrim fatigue were probably relieved to see the trailer as it doesn’t look like Skyrim at all. Let’s get our travelling boots on and take a whistle-stop tour of The Elder Scrolls universe and see if we can point out what the future holds. Combine that with what we know about the world of The Elder Scrolls and we can begin to build a picture of potentials. Maybe someone else remembers the details of that.Whilst it’s not possible to say for certain exactly where we’re going, this little trailer does at least make some areas more likely and rules out others. I also recall some controversy around one of the TV networks cutting to commercial during Halo 3 (and/or Mass Effect?) By mistake. I enjoy the conference because I love that era of Xbox, but I have a hard time saying it was on the same level as this year's show. On paper that's one of the best E3 lineups ever. But the audience for these shows was so different back then, and that's reflected in each publisher's conferences. And then third party stuff like Rock Band and Assassin's Creed. It was 2007, so Microsoft of course had an amazing lineup, showing off trailers for their big first party releases in Halo 3, Project Gotham Racing 4, Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, and Lost Odyssey, among others. Things like sales numbers were discussed a lot in those days. Conferences used to have a lot more "business" in them. ![]() ![]() It's hard to compare conferences from that era of E3 to the ones we get today.Į3 was so different back then-2007 in particular was an awkward year for the event as it was downsized.
